Absolute Positioning System (APS)
The sensor, installed on the elevator car, reads the magnetic tape installed in the shaft in a contactless manner and detects the current absolute position of the elevator car. This positioning system avoids measurement errors or inaccuracies caused by rope slippage or dynamic rope effect. Even under unfavorable environmental conditions (e.g., thick black smoke), the measurement results are not affected. In addition, safety is significantly improved by enhanced ascending and descending Overspeed protection and end-stage rational deceleration checks.
Event of Power Failure
Elevator Stops Immediately
If the elevator does not install the "Absolute Positioning System (APS)," the elevator will be stopped in place by the brake of the engine motor when a power outage occurs due to an earthquake or other unknown reasons.
Traditional Elevator
The elevator can prevent passengers from being trapped due to a sudden power failure and automatically run to the nearest floor to allow passengers to leave the car safely. After the power restore, the elevator will automatically resume regular operation.
