History of Hitachi Ultra-High-Speed Elevators & the World's Fastest Elevator

As early as 1968, Hitachi developed the elevator with the highest speed in Japan at that time – 300 meters per minute, and used it in the Kasumigaseki Building, the first super high-rise building in Japan. Since then, Hitachi Elevator has continued to surpass itself in the field of elevator technology, and built a high-speed elevator product with a top speed of 1,260 m/min, which won the world’s fastest elevator record in 2019. At present, Hitachi high-speed elevator series are also widely used in global commercial buildings.
